Vipul says, “While we were making eyes, I spoke to Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar about a drama, which was written and directed by Atish Kapadia. Both of them liked this story very much and from there we decided that he would make a film on it. ‘Tau: The Race Against Time’ was the second film with director Vipul Shah with Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar. Earlier, the pair of trio had given a hit film like ‘Aankhen’, which was well received by both the audience and the critics.

The success of ‘Aankhen’ deepened the trust of Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar in Vipul Shah. This was the reason that when the time of time came, both the megastars did not delay in working with them again. When Vipul Shah decided to become a producer with ‘Tau: The Race Against Time’, the support he got from Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar was very special for him.
