The Bollywood film industry has been going through a crisis for the past few years and the films are falling in the box office. Only a few films earn their name in terms of earnings. But most films are flopping. In India TV’s exclusive podcast ‘The Film Hasle’, 2 Bollywood producers Murad Khetani and Siddharth Roy Kapoor have told the stories behind making movies. In which both the producers told why the stories of South are overshadowing Bollywood films. Also talked about many types of scabies. Along with this, both the producers said that some things are seeking improvement as rules. Siddharth Roy Kapoor said that if it happens in the rules that once a certificate is received from the censor board, then the controversies should not get air.
Talk on rules before the release of films
When Siddharth Roy Kapoor was asked that you want some changes in the rules that can improve your production and help for films. In response, Siddharth Roy Kapoor says, ‘If it happens that there is no controversy about films after getting a certificate from the censor board. If this happens, the producers get help for this. Because when the rhetoric starts after the disputes, people change the decision to go to theaters. Which has a bad effect on business. Because some people do so that they create controversy for attention and small groups benefit from it. Because this is a very important time for producers. Therefore its loss can be heavy. Although the sensorship has improved a lot, but more will continue to happen over time.
How do Murad Khetani choose the script?
Responding to this, Bollywood producer Murad Khetani said, ‘First of all it has to be seen who is the best in which genre, so let’s start with the best. First the director should come on board. After the director, we contact the actors and the rest. After all this you decide the budget. When the directors and actors come on board, then it is understood what your recovery will be. Budget is fixed on this basis. Yes, there is a risk in films, but it is a calculated risk. After this we start working on the story.
