Mumbai. Amitabh Bachchan is as good an actor as he is a great writer. He often shares his feelings and experiences with fans through his blog. In his latest blog he has expressed grief over nuclear weapons. He has written in his post that his mind becomes disturbed regarding ‘nuclear weapons’. The whole world is sitting on a pile of nuclear weapons. He recalled a song from ‘Jagriti’, which he revealed was the only film he had seen.
Amitabh Bachchan wrote in his blog, “A day of troubled mind and thoughts… The world we live in is sitting on a pile of nuclear weapons.” Without naming any country, he wrote, “‘Destroy the world’… These are not my words, but the words of a leader of a powerful nation… If unleashed, it has the potential to blow up the world…”

Amitabh Bachchan further wrote, “Possibilities, mistakes… can start a wrong direction and the result… will definitely be some human decision… whether by mistake or for some other reason… in the event of another war. There will be fear… all this can be done.”

After this, Amitabh Bachchan mentioned the song ‘Hum Laaye Hain Toofan Se’ from the 1954 film ‘Jagriti’. This song was sung by Mohammad Rafi. Amitabh said that this song is true even today. He wrote, “And that song from the film ‘Jagriti’ in 1954, the first Hindi film I saw in Allahabad… and these words ring absolutely true as we discuss in 2024.”
