Now a Bollywood actor has also reacted to this. Sameer Soni, who has appeared in supporting roles in films like ‘Baghban’, ‘Vivaah’ and ‘Fashion’, spoke openly about the increased fees demanded by actors and the demand for luxurious treatment on the sets and has held the big film makers and directors of the industry responsible for this.
Sameer Soni spoke on the rising expenses of actors
Sameer Soni said that Farah Khan and Karan Johar are the two people in the industry who pay the actors whatever they ask for. Whereas, Bollywood films are neither able to earn money nor are able to fulfill the returns. Sameer Soni, who was last seen in ‘Made in Heaven’, spoke openly about this in his recent interview and also targeted both the well-known film directors of the industry.
Sameer Soni targets Farah-Karan
In a conversation with Ujjwal Trivedi, he said- ‘I want to tell Farah and Karan that if your expenses are increasing in making the film, then you are the ones responsible for it. You yourself are signing a star who charges 100 crores. Then later you yourself say that the actors are demanding too much fees. There must be some shortcoming in you too, otherwise there are many actors who can work for 1 crore or even 50 lakhs.’
