South films will explode
2025 has come and films are going to be released in theaters one after the other. Pongal and Sankranti are going to be available in theaters as well as on OTT with full dose of entertainment. Madha Gaj Raja
This film was scheduled to release in Pongal 2013, but now it is hitting the theaters after 12 years. Vishal starrer action comedy film ‘Madha Gaja Raja’ is finally hitting the big screen after 12 years. Directed by Sundar C, the film has high-octane action and emotional scenes. This film is releasing on 12th January. Along with Vishal, the film also stars stars like Santhanam, Anjali, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Sonu Sood.

One of the most anticipated films of the South to be released on the occasion of Pongal in January 2025 will be Arun Vijay starrer ‘Vanagan’. Directed by Bala, the film is a remake of the director’s 2020 direct-OTT release ‘Varma’ starring Dhruv Vikram, ‘Arjun Reddy’. In the film, Arun Vijay is playing the role of a man who is deaf-mute and due to atrocities he turns to crime. Earlier Surya was going to play the lead role in the film, but now Arun Vijay will be seen.

Akash Murali, son of late Tamil actor Murali and younger brother of Atharva Murali, is all set to make his acting debut with the romantic thriller film ‘Nesippaya’. The film is scheduled to release on January 14, 2025, which will release around Pongal 2025. The film is written and directed by Vishnuvardhan who is directing the film after the 2021 blockbuster biopic ‘Shershaah’ starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani. Along with Akash, actors like Aditi Shankar, R Sarathkumar, Khushboo Sundar, Prabhu, Kalki Koechlin will be seen in the film.

Malayalam actor Shane Nigam is making his debut in Tamil cinema with the film ‘Madrasakaran’. Directed by Wali Mohan Das, this film is based on two strangers. Along with Shane, Kalaiyarasan, Niharika Konidela, Aishwarya Dutta, Karunas and many other actors are also going to be seen in the film. Sam CS ‘Madrasakaran’ is scheduled to release in theaters on January 10, 2025.
Kadhalikka Neramillai
Jayam Ravi and Nithya Menen are working together as a romantic pair for the first time in the Tamil film ‘Kadhalikka Neramillai’. Directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, the film is a romantic comedy that revolves around the life of a young woman named Shruti, who doesn’t believe that you need love, marriage and children to have an ideal life. The film is scheduled to release on January 14, 2025. It also stars actors like Yogi Babu, Vinay Rai, John Cocaine, Lal and others in lead roles. The music of the film has been composed by AR Rahman.
