Why Sanjay Dutt likes playing villains
At an event hosted for the film ‘Double iSmart’ in Mumbai, actor Sanjay Dutt revealed why he likes playing villainous roles in the South film industry. When asked what is it about such negative roles that inspires him to play them, Sanjay said, “I think doing South films is a challenge for me and I like playing such roles. There is a lot to do as a villain here.”

Sanjay Dutt further said, making everyone laugh, ‘In South, even the villain gets a chance to beat up the hero, and gets beaten up.’ When he was asked if he would like to work in a love story again, Sanjay replied, ‘Yes, if I get the right film, I would like to do romance, but our generation is now giving new romance content to the audience. We are big heroes. I once did ‘Saajan’ (1991) which was really a great love story, which had lovely songs. So yes, I would definitely like to do such a film.’

Sanjay Dutt, who is playing the role of Big Bull in ‘Double iSmart’, is in the news for his look which will be released on August 15 in all South languages and Hindi. In 2022, the actor played the role of Adheera in Prashanth Neel’s Kannada film ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ opposite Yash. He also starred in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s 2023 film ‘Leo’. He will soon be seen in Prem’s Kannada film ‘KD – The Devil’ opposite Dhruva Sarja.
