Rakesh Pandey died at the age of 77
A sad information has come out from the film industry. Legendary actor Rakesh Pandey passed away for his contribution in Bollywood, TV and Bhojpuri industry. He was 77 years old. The senior actor breathed his last at the Arogyanidhi Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai at 8:50 am where he was undergoing treatment at the ICU. Hearing the sad news of his death, everyone has suffered a tremendous shock and he is paying tribute to the actor on social media. Rakesh Pandey used to rule the hearts of people due to his strong characters. He was also seen in many popular serials on TV.
The cause of Rakesh Pandey’s death
The cause of Rakesh Pandey’s death has been stated to be cardiac arrest. He said goodbye to the world while undergoing treatment at ICU. He was cremated at Shastri Nagar crematorium, in which his family and close relatives were present. He is survived by his wife, daughter Jasmeet and a granddaughter. Rakesh Pandey’s career in the entertainment industry started with Basu Chatterjee’s ‘Sara Akash’ (1969). The film also gave him a prestigious Rashtrapati Award.
Explosion with Bollywood hit films
Before making his mark in films, he was known for his best play in the theater. He studied with the Indian Film and Television Institute (FTII) Pune and later Bharatendu Academy of Dramatic Arts. In his early years, Rakesh Pandey was also associated with the IPTA (Indian People’s Theater Association), where he got a chance to show his talent. The actor was last seen in the 2023 film The Rise of Sudarshan Chakra. He has also been a part of many films like ‘Indian’, ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Son Ho To Aisa’, ‘Champion’, ‘Amar Prem’, ‘Himalaya from Uncha’.
TV-Bhojpuri star Rakesh Pandey is no more
Some of his popular television shows include ‘Chhoti Bahu’, ‘Piya Bina’, ‘Devi’, ‘Pyaar Ke Do Names: Ek Radha-Ek Shyam’. Rakesh Pandey has created a panic in Bhojpuri cinema with films like ‘Balam Pardesia’ (1979). Rakesh Pandey is not among us today, but he will always be alive in the hearts of his fans.
