Political turmoil has erupted over the film ‘The Kashmir Files’, which focuses on the massacre and exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a scathing attack on the opposition on the pretext of this film.
He said that these days the discussion of Kashmir files is going on and those who always carry the flag of Freedom Of Expression, the whole group has been furious for the last 5-6 days. Instead of discussing the film on the basis of facts, its art etc., a campaign is being run to discredit it. A complete eco-system has been put in place.
The PM said, ‘Someone should reveal the truth … he presented the truth that he felt, but there is no preparation to understand that truth, neither is there preparation to accept it, nor the world should see it… for this he has his approval. The kind of conspiracy that is going on for the last 5-6 days… my subject is not a film, my subject is to bring the truth in front of the country in its right form, for the betterment of the country. There can be many aspects to it. Those who think that this film is not good, they should make their second film… who is denying.’
The PM said that, ‘They are surprised that when the truth which has been suppressed for so many years is being brought to the fore on the basis of facts and someone is working hard, then the whole eco-system is behind it. In times like these, it is the responsibility of those who live for the truth to stand up for the truth. I hope everyone will fulfill this responsibility….
Ruckus over Kerala Congress tweet: Let us tell you that there has been a debate about ‘The Kashmir Files’. One section is standing in its favor and the other is terming it as propaganda. Meanwhile, there was an uproar over a tweet by Kerala Congress. The Kerala Congress, in a way, took a jibe that when the atrocities started with Kashmiri Pandits, the governor was Jagmohan, who was close to the Sangh and was responsible for the incident.
On this, the film’s director Vivek Agnihotri retaliated and shared a letter from Indira Gandhi at that time and wrote, ‘Dear Rahul Gandhi ji, your grandmother used to think about something else.’ In this letter, Indira Gandhi expressed concern and regret over the incident.
Kangana praised the film: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has also targeted Bollywood while praising the film. As soon as Kangana came out of the theater after seeing this film, she first congratulated the team of the film and then said that today all these people together have washed away all the sins committed by Bollywood. Such a well made film. This film is so commendable that all the industry people who are still hiding like rats in their bills…they should come out and promote the film.”
