A sad news has come out from the South Indian film industry. Renowned Malayalam actress KPAC Lalitha passed away late on Tuesday night. The 74-year-old actress breathed her last at her residence in Thripunithura, Kerala. Lalitha is survived by her actor-director son Siddharth Bharatan and daughter Srikutty. She was married to Malayalam film director Bharathan. According to the information, Lalita was ill for the past several days. Some time ago his health had deteriorated, due to which he was also admitted to the hospital.
Lalita entered the field of acting as a theater artist. She was first associated with KPAC (Kerala People’s Arts Club). It was from here that he started acting as a theater artist. After that he started working in films. Lalita made her debut in the film industry in 1969 with ‘Kuttukudumbam’ directed by KS Sethumadhavan. After that he worked in many films.
Lalita was doing well in her career but she suddenly took a break from films in the late 1970s. However, he returned to the industry again in 1983. He made a comeback with the film ‘Kattathe Kilikakudu’. After that he worked in many films.
Actress Lalita has acted in more than 550 films throughout her career. She has been honored with many awards for her superb acting. She has won four state awards and has also won the National Award for Best Supporting Actress twice.
