Veteran actor TV Madhavan passes away
Well-known actor of Malayalam films, TP Madhavan is no more in this world, he said goodbye to this world on 9th October. The veteran actor breathed his last at a private hospital in Kollam, Kerala. He was 88 years old. Madhavan died while he was undergoing treatment in the hospital for various ailments. He was living in Gandhi Bhavan, Pathanapuram for the last eight years. The actor was on ventilator due to stomach related ailments. There is a wave of mourning in the entire industry due to the news of the demise of the veteran actor.
TP Madhavan’s career at a glance
Madhavan, who started his film career after the age of 40, has worked in more than 600 Malayalam films. He was the first general secretary of the Malayalam Film Actors Association, AMMA. Madhavan started his film career in 1975 when actor Madhu gave him his first break in Ragam. She last starred in the 2016 release Malgudi Days, an emotional suspense thriller.

In later years, he faced tough times, having to live in a lodge in Thiruvananthapuram before a serial director took him to Gandhi Bhavan. Later, he played some more roles in serials and films. Some of her popular TV shows include Munnumani, Priyamanasi, Valayam, Ente Manasaputri and Daya among many others. Over the past few years, Madhavan has been suffering from age-related ailments.
Kerala Chief Minister expressed grief
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed grief over Madhavan’s demise. He said that Madhavan was a talented actor who played a variety of characters in more than 600 films. The Chief Minister recalled that even during his last years at Gandhi Bhavan in Pathanapuram, Madhavan continued to act in television serials.
