Chhawa will be released on 14 February
Vicky Kaushal recently arrived in Jaipur for the promotion of his film ‘Chhava’, where he made several revelations about his character and look in the film. Vicky Kaushal told that he had increased 25 kg for the look of his Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in Chhava. Vicky Kaushal started the promotion of her film by saying ‘Khamma Ghani Jaipur’ in full vigor and said- ‘I cannot tell what happens by coming to Jaipur. It is not possible that a new film of mine comes and I should not come here. The promotion of every film of mine starts in Jaipur itself.
Vicky Kaushal weighs 25 kg for Chhawa
Talking about his film, Vicky Kaushal said that he worked for this film on his body 7 consecutive months and increased 25 kg. Vicky says- ‘When I got this film offered, I could not understand how I would be able to do this character. My director told me that I have to look like a lion in the film. Then I was badly nervous how this would happen. I saw the photo of Sambhaji Maharaj, he really looked like a lion. On seeing this, I said- this will not happen.
7 months worked on his body- Vicky Kaushal
Vicky further says- ‘Then I took it as a challenge. Worked on his body for 7 consecutive months and finally gained 25 kg. The preparation of this film started 4 years ago. The team was doing research on the script. The script took almost two and a half years. 7 months took me in a body, gaining weight and then in horse riding. Shooting went on for 7 months, then this film was ready.

Talking about Maratha history, Vicky Kaushal said- ‘I am from Maharashtra. I have read about Maratha history since childhood. Everyone knows about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, but his son Sambhaji Maharaj was also a very big warrior. Working on his character was a big challenge for me. Let me tell you, Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandana and Akshaye Khanna starrer ‘Chhava’ is releasing in theaters on 14 February. The director of the film is Laxman Utekar, who has directed films like Mimi, Luka Chuki and Jara Hatke Jara Bachake.
