The release date of Chhaava film has been extended.
‘Main Jhookega Nahi Saala’ is a dialogue from Allu Arjun starrer film Pushpa which testifies to the popularity of this film. Pushpa film was released in 2021 and was a superhit. Now the second part of this film is also going to be released on 6th December. Vicky Kaushal starrer film ‘Chhaava’ was to be released on the same day. Box office clash of both the films could also be seen. But now the release date of Vicky Kaushal starrer film ‘Chhaava’ has been extended. Chhaava will now be released on 14th February next year instead of 6th December this year.

News of its postponement was trending on social media after trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh shared a post on his official handle. Taran Adarsh wrote on his #Chhavaa is now set for theatrical release on 14th February 2025. The release date holds special significance as it coincides with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on 19 February 2025.
Reason behind extending the release date
The makers of Chhaava have not yet confirmed the postponement of the historical drama film. But if reports are to be believed, the reason behind this pushback is believed to be conflict with Telugu film Pushpa 2. Given the immense publicity for the South film, it was clear that its business could cause serious damage to Chhaava at the box office. Another possible reason for pushing the release date of the film could be the release of Chhaava on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti. Because this film holds a special significance for the eminent person. This film is based on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Chhaava stars Vicky Kaushal in the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Akshaye Khanna in the role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role, who is also playing the role of Allu Arjun’s love interest in his film.
