When he poses with both his arms spread out, people go crazy for him. Recently Shah Rukh Khan revealed at the Locarno Film Festival how his signature pose started. He narrated the entire story on the festival stage.
At the Locarno Film Festival, Shah Rukh Khan was asked by a fan how his signature pose was invented. In response to this, the superstar said that in the 90s, every actor was expected to know how to do the dip (a dance step). Along with this, Shah Rukh Khan told how his signature pose came into existence.

King Khan revealed that Saroj Khan had choreographed one of his songs. She taught him the (dip) dance step, which he was unable to do properly. Shahrukh Khan said, ‘I was unable to do the dance step and I felt very embarrassed. I practiced the dance step all night. In the morning I reached (on the set) and I remember the choreographer was Saroj ji. I said – Maam are you ready? She said – yes, so you are unable to do the step, then you stand up and spread your arms. I said – but maam, I can do this. She said no, no, we do not need this. It does not look good on you. After this I spread my arms.’
