Vijayta Pandit reveals the truth behind Sandhya’s murder.
Sandhya Pandit is the sister of music composers Jatin-Lalit and yesteryear actors Sulakshana and Vijayta Pandit. She went missing in 2012 and her partial skeleton was found about a month later. Later, a Thane court acquitted her son Raghuveer of all charges. Now, Vijayta Pandit has made shocking revelations about her sister Sandhya’s murder. Vijayta has spoken about her sister’s murder and why the family has not told Sulakshana about Sandhya’s death even after so many years.
Sandhya was murdered, only her skeleton was found
In a recent interview with Lehran Retro, Vijayta Pandit spoke openly about her life and also revealed about the murder of her sister Sandhya. Vijayta Pandit said on her sister’s death, ‘My sister Sandhya was murdered. We never thought that something like this could happen suddenly. She was very happy in her marriage… I don’t know what happened. We could never find her, we found her skeleton. At first her family said that she had gone missing, so I and my brothers Lalit and Jatin used to go searching for her everywhere. After a long time, her bones were found scattered in different places. It was a big thing.’
Vijayta Pandit broke her silence on her sister’s murder
Vijayta Pandit further said, ‘You will not believe that till date Sulakshana ji has not come to know that our sister is no more. Can you believe it? I am telling all this for the first time. I never told her because if she comes to know, she will die at that very moment. I always keep telling her that our sister is fine, lives in Indore and also calls me. Sulakshana thinks that she is alive, so she tells me to send lots of love to my sister because she does not use a mobile phone. I swear to God, I have to tell the same lie to my sister even today.’
Sandhya Singh murder case
According to a 2021 report by The Indian Express, Sandhya Singh’s son was acquitted of charges of her murder in 2012. The Thane Sessions Court said that the prosecution could not prove anything except the fact that the accused was addicted to alcohol and had animosity with his mother. The court acquitted Raghuveer Singh of all charges, including murder, robbery and destruction of evidence. The court also said that the Mumbai Police Crime Branch’s case against Raghuveer was based on the suspicion that he was involved in the murder of his mother Sandhya.
