Meenakshi further says- ‘Vinod Khanna was a very calm person. He was at the peak of his career. He used to go to the ashram and come back and shoot.’ Earlier, she had said in an interview with Filmfare, “In those days he used to listen to Osho Rajneesh tapes. He used to encourage me to listen to Osho, but he never forced me for it. Later he married Kavita Daftari. ‘I am not claiming that Vinod ji was a very good friend. But he was a kind and wonderful person. When I was doing films with Vinod ji, my father loved to join my shoots. So the three of us would sit together at lunch time and me, my father and Vinod ji, we would crack dirty jokes. Others would wonder what we were laughing at. I shared a fun bond with my father, where we would crack jokes and laugh together. With Vinod ji, it was an extension of that. I was not comfortable showing this aspect of my personality to anyone else.’
