New Delhi. Sony Liv’s upcoming original web series ‘Freedom at Midnight’ has recently piqued the interest of the audience with its teaser. The teaser of this series shows an important historical turning point of the Indian freedom struggle, where Mahatma Gandhi appeals to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to offer peace to Muhammad Ali Jinnah to prevent the partition of India in 1947. Although the teaser doesn’t reveal much about the overall theme, the series is based on Larry Collins and Dominique Lapierre’s famous book ‘Freedom at Midnight’, which sheds light on the last years of the British Raj. The series may cover events from the appointment of Lord Mountbatten as the Viceroy of India to the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi.
