I went to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting and after marrying Gautam Berry, she also came to Mumbai. During the days of struggle, Satish Kaushik and I would often go to Kiran and Gautam’s house and she would also give us money for taxi, but we would save that money and travel by bus.

Anupam told that their friendship was based on a strong foundation and later this friendship turned into love. This happened when both were going through a bad phase of their relationship. Anupam said, ‘When Kiran was going through a difficult time in her marriage, at the same time I was also going through a bad phase. The girl I was with left me. During this time, Kiran and I fell in love, then we got married.
