Bollywood actor Anupam Kher has worked in many hit films one after the other in his career. But he had borrowed some money from his friend and director Satish Kaushik. Actually this is the story of the struggle of both of them when Satish Kaushik and Anupam Kher used to study in National School of Drama. Satish Kaushik was so upset with this habit of Anupam Kher that he reached his house with a bat.

In a TV show, Satish Kaushik had told, ‘Anupam was always short of money in the National School of Drama. There was a fruit shop outside the school, so it used to go from hostel to school after taking long detours. Once it took 80 rupees from me and was not taking the name of returning it. I got very angry with this. I reached his house with a bat and said that I am a resident of Delhi. If I don’t get money, I will kill a lot.’

Satish Kaushik further explains, ‘This poor man got very scared and started saying with folded hands that brother 60 rupees have come. Keep this. That is how our friendship started. During this Anupam Kher was also present in the show. He says, ‘Satish is absolutely right. My look also looked exactly like English. I used to wear a white suit and become a foreign national while playing.
Anupam says, “We used to take people to feed Satish Kaushik weddings. After going there, we used to say that they have come specially from Germany to come to your wedding. I didn’t know English so I didn’t talk much. We have had many such marriages in Delhi. Meaning for us, this had become the story of every week. Then slowly things changed and we reached here.
Let us tell you, Satish Kaushik had directed Salman Khan’s film ‘Tere Naam’ and the film was a super hit. Which gave him recognition. Apart from this, Satish Kaushik is known for his comic characters in films. The pair of Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik have appeared together in many films together.
