Manoj Bajpayee recalled a 27-year-old incident in an interview given to Sushant Sinha. The actor told that when music producer, bhajan singer Gulshan Kumar was murdered in 1997, the shooting of ‘Satya’ was stopped. The actor told that one week was very stressful for the crew members associated with the film, because the project was left hanging in the middle. However, director Ram Gopal Varma was not ready to give up under any circumstances. He found another producer for his film within a week.
Mentioned the difficult days after shifting to Mumbai
Manoj Bajpayee also talked about the difficult days he faced after shifting to Mumbai. The actor told that he got one and a half lakh rupees as fee for ‘Satya’. He liked this deal very much, but at the time when his luck was taking a new turn, Gulshan Kumar was shot dead. After this incident, once again the clouds of danger started hovering over his luck.
