Ram Gopal Varma told that there was a deal between AR Rahman and Subhash Ghai to compose the music of the film Yuvraj. There was some altercation between the two regarding this deal. Actually the songs of the film were to be shot. But the songs were not ready. Subhash Ghai got angry about this. Subhash Ghai even wrote a letter to AR Rahman. In which he mentioned that the songs are not ready yet, for which I have given you crores of rupees. AR Rahman’s mood also got spoiled due to this loud voice. In response to which he also said that Sir, you are giving money for my name. Not for my music.
Yuvraj released in 2008 and all the songs were superhit.
Salman Khan starrer film Yuvraj was released in the year 2008. This film of Subhash Ghai flopped badly at the box office. Made with a budget of Rs 48 crore, this film was able to earn only Rs 31 crore. Despite flopping badly at the box office, all the songs of this film were hits. People had given a lot of love to the songs of the film. Along with Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Vaman Irani were also seen in lead roles in the film. AR Rahman and Subhash Ghai have done music together many times before Yuvraj. AR Rahman also gave music in the film ‘Taal’ released in 1999. After this, in 2005 also both were seen together in the film ‘Kisna’.
