New Delhi. It is not possible for there to be mention of stumping in the cricket world and the name of MS Dhoni not coming up. Dhoni, who is known for his superb wicketkeeping skills, has stumped a total of 195 batsmen in his cricket career, which is a world record till date. Recently, a video of Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Dhoni is going viral on social media, in which both of them are seen sharing the story of a funny debate regarding a rule of stumping.
Actually, Dhoni revealed that during an ODI match in 2015, he and Sakshi had an interesting argument about stumping while watching the match at home. Dhoni told, “We were watching an ODI match at home and Sakshi was also with me. Usually we don’t talk about cricket, but that day the bowler bowled a wide ball, the batsman moved forward and was stumped. The ground umpire signaled the TV review, and the batsman started walking towards the dressing room. Then Sakshi said, ‘This is not out, see the umpire will call the batsman back because stump cannot be out on a wide ball.'”

Dhoni further said that he tried to explain the rules to Sakshi and said, “Stumping can happen on wide balls, but not on no balls.” On this Sakshi jokingly said, ‘You don’t know anything, just see, the third umpire will call the batsman back.’ This funny debate was going on between the two when when the next batsman came to the field, Sakshi said, ‘Something has definitely gone wrong here.’
