New Delhi. An attacker entered the house of actor Saif Ali Khan late on Wednesday night and attacked him with a knife. Saif Ali Khan was seriously injured in this incident. According to police officials, 54-year-old Saif has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai for treatment. This incident happened at his Bandra residence at around 2.30 am. After the incident, considering the seriousness of the matter, Mumbai Police entrusted the responsibility of investigation to encounter specialist Daya Nayak. Daya Nayak was seen with her team at Saif Ali Khan’s house. However, he refused to comment on this.

Statement from Kareena Kapoor’s team
Saif Ali Khan’s wife and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan’s team issued a statement on the incident saying, “Last night an attempt was made to steal from our house. During this, Saif got injured in his hand, for which he is in the hospital for treatment. The rest of the family members are safe.”

Mumbai Police DCP Dixit Gedam told the media, “We received information about the incident at 2-3 am. After this our team immediately reached Saif Ali Khan’s house and took him to the hospital.
