Two special guests, actor Vikrant Massey and IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, are going to be seen in ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 16’. Manoj Kumar Sharma’s mother, wife and son were also seen among the audience. In a conversation with host Amitabh Bachchan, the IPS officer’s mother complained that he never celebrates Diwali with the family. When he explains the reason for this, Big B praises him by folding his hands in respect. Why doesn’t IPS Manoj celebrate Diwali?
When Big B asked him the reason for this, the IPS officer told that joining the police force meant keeping aside religion, caste or language as their focus was completely on serving the nation. IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma tells the host of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 16’, ‘A police officer cannot celebrate any festival, sir. I never celebrated Diwali. Once you wear the uniform, you no longer have any religion, caste or language. You have to dedicate your entire life to the country. There is no fixed duty, 12 hours, 24 hours, sometimes we do not go home for three days, sir.
Police is the protector of society
He further says, ‘It is expected from a police officer, especially at a time when the entire society is celebrating and rejoicing, to ensure that nothing happens that spoils their happiness . They are social change agents who bring change in the society.
Amitabh Bachchan paid respect with folded hands
Along with the applause of the audience, Amitabh Bachchan also shows his respect towards all the police officers. Folding his hands, he says, ‘Sir, today not only you but the entire public and I, all the policemen are in front of me. We fold our hands and say thank you very much to all of you.
