Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married in June. Since both of them belong to different religions, Sonakshi had a court marriage in her own home in which only family members and close friends were present. During their marriage, there were many reports that Sonakshi’s family was not happy with it, but both of them ignored all the news and got married. Sonakshi and Zaheer were in a relationship for 7 years and they never talked openly about it. Now the actress told why she did not talk about it.
Why didn’t you say it publicly?
Sonakshi said in News 18’s Townhall, ‘Nazar…it diverts everyone’s attention from your work and everyone talks about it. I think private things should be kept private. You already live in the limelight, everyone already knows about you, so keep what you have to yourself.
Sonakshi felt love for the first time
Sonakshi further said that there was no big strategy behind her decision. He said, ‘We met, we fell in love, we started going out. I had already realized that this was permanent. However, it took some time for Jahari to understand. But as soon as Zaheer also decided, both of them became more comfortable to share their relationship in public.
Zaheer took time to understand
Zaheer said, ‘Being a man, I felt that all this is just new so it feels good. But as time progressed, Sonakshi’s feelings for me were becoming deeper. I knew from day one that he was the one, but accepted a little later.
Sonakshi and Zaheer say that their decision to keep their special moments to themselves was right because there was no pressure from outside.
