Mumbai,(IANS)| Renowned choreographer and director Farah Khan has raised Rs 16 crore to help Ayansh Madan, a 16-month-old baby suffering from a rare genetic disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). The disease has weakened Ayansh’s throat and lung muscles so much that he cannot talk, cough or swallow anything.
The only cure for Ayansh was the drug Zolgensma, which is the most expensive medicine in the world. Farah Khan has contributed to Ayansh’s treatment.Farah, who appeared in the episode of KBC with Deepika Padukone on September 10, won Rs 25 lakh. After which she put out a post on her social media handle in which Farha said that after the ‘KBC’ episode got an overwhelming response, everyone wanted to donate. No amount is small, and you can donate as much as you want.
At the end of September, Farah posted a post thanking KBC for the rapid increase in donations after the show.Farah Khan posted, “I am very happy that the amount required for Ayansh Madan’s treatment, Rs 16 crore has been collected. I really want ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ to talk about it and get this thing far and wide. I would like to thank you for giving me a platform to reach out to people.”
