New Delhi: A historic collaboration has created a stir in the entertainment industry. Yes! We are talking about Namit Malhotra’s production company Prime Focus Studios and Rocking Star Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. In fact, both of them have announced to present India’s epic saga ‘Ramayana’ not only to the country but to the audience all over the world. They are going to produce this project together.
Visionary producer Namit Malhotra, who is also the Global CEO of multiple Academy Award-winning visual effects company DNEG, has been planning to bring this epic saga to the big screen for several years. When Namit told his wish to global superstar Yash, he also liked the idea. Both the film making powerhouses decided to join hands to bring this complete cultural heritage of India to the world.
Namit and Yash, together with Nitesh Tiwari, have started a very important journey. Through this, they aim to present the timeless appeal of Indian culture and stories to the world. Talking about this, Namit says, ‘After living in the US, UK and India for years, we have built a business which, along with seeing unmatched commercial success, has won more Oscars in the last 10 years than any other company. My journey has taken me to a point where I am ready to do justice to the wonderful story of Ramayana.

Namit further said, ‘There have been two types of challenges before me since the beginning: to respect the sanctity of a story which has a place in everyone’s heart. The second challenge is to bring it to the world in such a way that this incredible story is embraced by international audiences as an engaging big screen experience. In Yash, I recognize the aspiration to present our culture to the world in the best possible way. I feel that I cannot find a better partner than him. In such a situation, there can be no one better than him to create an impact across the world for the story of this biggest epic.
Yash wants to show Indian cinema at the global level
Yash has a strong fan base not only in the country but all over the world. Talking about this, Yash says, ‘My long-time goal has been to make films that showcase Indian cinema at a global level. Now to achieve that goal, I was in LA to join hands with a great VFX studio, and surprisingly, the name behind it is none other than an Indian. Namit and I did many ideation sessions and the surprising thing is that we had similar ideas about Indian cinema. We thought about different projects and during this time the topic of Ramayana came up before us. Namit had worked on this. Ramayana, as a subject, connects deeply with me and I have a vision for it in my mind. By coming together to co-produce Ramayan, we are bringing together our vision and experience to create an Indian film that will ignite excitement and passion in audiences across the world. Ramayana is being prepared as a spectacular cinematic experience, with Nitish Tiwari directing it under the leadership of Namit Malhotra and Yash.
