Mumbai, 26 June (IANS). In Maharashtra, cases of Corona virus infection are gradually declining. On Thursday, 24 new Kovid-19 patients have been confirmed in the state. With this, the number of active cases has increased to 188. The Health Department said that light symptoms have been found in all new patients and are being treated regularly.
The 24 new patients who were confirmed on Thursday include 7 from Mumbai, 1 from Navi Mumbai, 1 from Raigad, 1 from Panvel Municipal Corporation, 6 from Pune Municipal Corporation, 1 from Pimpri-Chinchwad, 2 from Satara, 1 from Kolhapur, 1 from Kolhapur, 3 from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation and 3 from Nagpur Municipal Corporation. The condition of all the patients is stable and is kept under medical surveillance.
A total of 27,963 covid tests have been conducted in the state since January 2025, out of which 2,449 people have been found infected. Of these, 2,225 patients have been cured so far, due to which the recovery rate has increased to 90.85 percent.
A total of 980 patients have been confirmed in Mumbai since January 2025, with 1-1 cases in January and February, no case in March, 435 in April, 435 in May and 539 in June. Mild symptoms have been found in all patients, making it clear that the intensity of infection is lower than before. However, death of 36 patients has also been recorded during the same period.
In the Covid-19 review meeting held at the state level, several important guidelines have been given to the officers. Instructions have also been given to all health institutions, medical colleges and hospitals in the municipal area to keep updates from covid investigation and treatment facilities. The Health Department has appealed to the public not to avoid rumors and do not panic, as adequate facilities for treatment and investigation of Kovid are available in the state. Efforts to control the infection are continuously continuing due to the government’s vigilance and surveillance.
