New Delhi, 5 June (IANS). In the preparation of the 11th International Yoga Day, 30,000 institutions across the country have registered to participate in the Yoga Sangam.
These include schools, resident Welfare Association, Corporate, NGOs and government institutions.
Giving information about this, the Ministry of AYUSH said, “Such a large number of registration shows that yoga is not just practice, but a movement towards healthy life, community unity and national welfare.”
On June 21, there will be yoga programs at more than one lakh places in the country, including icy peaks of Ladakh to Kerala beaches, schools, offices, railway stations and premises of temples.
The ministry said that these programs will be tracked online on the yoga portal, where institutions can register for their event. Prominent organizations like IIT, IIM and Central University are also performing yoga on a large scale and are promoting it for mental clarity, emotional strength and leadership development.
To participate in this, people can register on the website of the Ministry of AYUSH as a group or institution. After the Yoga Sangam event on 21 June, the official appreciation certificate will be available on uploading the participation details.
The ministry said, “Come, for a healthy and prosperous India, make Yoga Sangam the basis of national welfare. We all together make Yoga Sangam the foundation stone of India’s movement for overall health and national welfare.”
Let me tell you, the Ministry of AYUSH has launched a portal, where organizations can register their programs, organize yoga sessions on 21 June and upload participation data to obtain official appreciation certificates.
