300 teenagers died every year in Goa due to liver cirrhosis caused by alcohol, know everything about this disease cannot be cured

Every month, at least 150 teenagers suffering from chronic liver cirrhosis are reported in Goa Medical College. According to a report by the Times of India, more than 300 deaths in the state are caused by liver disease every year when healthy liver tissue turns into cancer. Dr. Rajesh Patil, Medical Superintendent of Goa Medical College, said, “Two-three decades ago, we used to see patients between the age of forty or fifty years suffering from liver cirrhosis, but now we also come to the age of twenty years of age patients. . ” Dr. According to Patil, it is corresponding to the decline in the number of drinkers between the ages of 12 to 14 years.

The number of drinkers is high.
Dr. Patil said that most of the hospitals in the state recorded about 300 deaths per day, out of which 30 percent of deaths are due to excessive alcohol consumption or alcohol related incidents. This includes drinking alcohol and driving diseases like cancer, stroke and kidney failure.

Symptoms of alcohol related liver cirrhosis
According to doctors, some signs and symptoms of alcohol related cirrhosis develop after drinking excessive alcohol for 3 to 4 years. In the early stages, your body compensates for the limited function of your liver. As the disease increases, the symptoms become more severe and more pronounced.

2. Portal hypertension, which causes vomiting of blood, inflammation in the stomach, weakness in the muscles.

7. Sleep problem

How to protect yourself?
Medications: Doctors can prescribe corticosteroids, insulin, antioxidants and calcium channel blockers.

Take care of your health – drinking more alcohol can worsen the disease, so stop drinking alcohol.

Additional Protein – People suffering from liver cirrhosis require more protein in their diet to reduce the risk of developing encephalopathy.
