36 medicines of cancer will be cheaper
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the first full budget and 8th budget of the third term of the government in Parliament today. Meanwhile, he announced that 36 cancer medicines would be cheaper. He said that the government will provide the facility to set up a daycare cancer center in all district hospitals in the next three years. Also, 75000 new medical seats will be created in medical colleges during the next 5 years. He said that 500 crores have been allocated to promote the AI center. The capacity will be expanded in the IITs that started after 2016, so that thousands of students get facilities.
Hostel system will be held in Patna IIT
At the same time, infrastructure will be expanded in Patna IIT, under which hostel facility will be made available. Apart from this, the Indian Language Book Scheme will be started. Its purpose is to help students understand books in their language through digital means. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that in 2025 additional 40,000 units of affordable housing will be completed. Green Field Airport will be provided in Bihar. These will be in addition to Patna and Bihta. 50,000 Atal Tinkering Labs will be set up in the next 5 years to develop scientific thinking in the minds of the youth.
Cess will be removed from 82 goods
Finance Minister Sitharaman will establish 5 national centers for skills with global expertise. The Finance Minister informed that now people who do food delivery will be registered. Also, they will be given the benefit of insurance cover from the government. Finance Minister Sitharaman announced the National Spatial Mission. The government will set up a second gene bank with 1 million germplasm for future food and nutrition security. The Finance Minister said that for cancer patients, 36 drugs will definitely be given a complete discount from basic customs. The cess will be removed from 82 goods.
