Paracetamol failed the quality test: Most of us take commonly used paracetamol tablets when we have fever. But many medicines commonly used for fever, blood pressure and diabetes have failed the quality check.
In fact, the drug regulator has failed a total of 53 medicines in the quality test. This includes paracetamol, commonly used for fever, as well as vitamin and calcium supplements.
Not only this, medicines used for diabetes and blood pressure have also failed the quality test. The list of these medicines has been released by the Indian drug regulator Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) on its official website.
All these medicines failed the quality test
Let us tell you that the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization has recently tested the quality of many medicines. These medicines include paracetamol, calcium, vitamin D3 supplements.
These medicines include Vitamin C and D3 tablets Shelcal, Vitamin B Complex and Vitamin C softgel, antacid Pan-D, Paracetamol IP 500 mg, diabetes medicine Glimepiride, high blood pressure medicine Telmisartan, etc.
Medicines given to children are also included in the list
Among the medicines that have failed the quality test, there are some medicines that are given to children. Among them, Cepodem XP 50 Dry Suspension has also been found to have failed the test.
This medicine is given to children for bacterial infections. The Drug Controller of India has released two lists of medicines that failed the quality test. One list contains 48 popular medicines, while the other list contains 5 more medicines along with the responses of the pharmaceutical companies that failed the test.
