651.81 crore sanctioned for 50 -bed new Ayush hospital in eight districts of Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, 4 July (IANS). The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday approved a proposal of Rs 651.81 crore under the state’s annual action plan 2025-26, taking steps towards comprehensive expansion in the field of AYUSH Health Services.

This decision was taken at the meeting of the 11th Governing Body of National Ayush Mission Uttar Pradesh held in Lucknow under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh. During this period, an amount of Rs 51,970.27 lakh was sanctioned for AYUSH services, Rs 8,617.10 lakh for AYUSH Education Institutes, Rs 3,092.43 lakh for Flexi Pool and Rs 1,501.40 lakh for arrangement cost. Out of this, an amount of Rs 194.48 crore will be spent on the implementation of new proposals.

Major proposals will be set up in eight new 50 -bed integrated Ayush Hospital Ghazipur, Chitrakoot, Bhadohi, Maharajganj, Firozabad, Sitapur, Bahraich and Chandauli. A cost of Rs 15 crore is proposed on every hospital. Along with this, there are also plans to construct 32 government Ayush dispensaries (21 Ayurveda, six homeopathy, five Unani) in aspirational districts. A cost of Rs 30 lakh has been approved for each dispensary.

Apart from this, co-located AYUSH facility will be developed in 100 district hospitals, each will cost Rs 23.30 lakh. At the same time, 15-25-bed Ayurvedic hospitals will be upgraded in Kaushambi, Hathras, Agra and Varanasi.

Three new 30-bed Integrated Ayush Hospitals will be set up in Bahraich, Azamgarh and Mirzapur, for which a budget of Rs 105 crore has been approved. AYUSH Information Software will be developed at a cost of Rs 2 crore under digital empowerment.

Telemedicin hubs will also be installed under e-life in Lucknow and Gorakhpur. A budget of Rs 70 crore has been allocated to the Homeopathic Medical College of Varanasi for educational institutions and Rs 4.89 crore to Ayodhya in Ayodhya.

A proposal for setting up six Panchakarma and Yoga Centers and 11 Panchakarma centers was also passed in Lucknow to promote Eco Tourism.
