Lucknow, 18 February (IANS). On the instructions of Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, health workers have done a great job in the first 69 days of the ongoing hundred -day intensive tuberculosis (TB) campaign across the state. So far, 89,967 patients have been identified in 75 districts. Apart from this, departmental team has reached 74 percent high risk people. At the same time, more than 12.50 lakh people have been fed TB drugs.
The Yogi government has targeted the state to make TB free this year. In view of this, a hundred -day intensive campaign is being run in the entire state. According to State Tuberculosis Officer Dr. Shailendra Bhatnagar, medicines are being given under TB Preventive Treatment (TPT) to ensure that there is no TB. TPT has been given to 12,65,376 people during the campaign.
He said that a total of 89,967 TB patients have been identified in the campaign so far, out of which 73,231 have been started treatment. All 75 districts covered a high risk population of about three and a half crores and screening was done based on the possible symptoms of TB of 2.54 million people and X -ray, not or microscopic examination. During the campaign, a total of 4,78,763 Flash Camps were set up by TB and awareness campaign was conducted. On an average, 4,809 noise camps were organized per day.
Dr. Bhatnagar said that so far, the maximum of 4,050 TB patients have been found in Lucknow. After this, 3,545 cases have been found in Agra, 2,854 in Sitapur, 2,802 in Aligarh, 2,688 in Kanpur, 2,282 in Prayagraj, 2,025 in Gorakhpur and 2,015 in Varanasi.
He informed that the lowest case in the entire state has been found in Shravasti (247). After this, 309 patients have been found in Mahoba, 346 in Chitrakoot, 353 in Sant Ravidas Nagar and 360 in Shamli.
Dr. Bhatnagar said that from December 7, a hundred -day TB intensive campaign started in those 15 districts, where the number of TB deaths was more and new TB patients and potential TB patients identified the identity rate below the national average. In the last week of December, the Chief Minister reviewed the campaign and directed to implement this campaign in all 75 districts.

Diabetes and HIV patients
Old TB patient within five years
Within three years, TB patients, whose treatment was completed,
People living in slums, jails, old age homes etc.
Body mass index (BMI) malnourished population
Smoking and drug addicts
