New Delhi, 23 June (IANS). It has become very common to ignore health in today’s run-of-the-mill life. Our immunity is decreasing day by day, due to which the body is becoming home to diseases. Ayurvedic remedies are capable of increasing the strength to fight against diseases, because Ayurveda not only protects the body from diseases, but also improves physical and mental health.
The Ministry of AYUSH has taught the tricks of being healthy through some common measures. It is said that drinking enough water is very important for the body throughout the day. Water not only quenches thirst, but also removes toxic elements from the body. It improves digestion, keeps the skin clean and maintains energy. Drink a little water throughout the day, so that the body remains hydrated and you feel healthy. Every day at least 30 minutes of yoga, pranayama and meditation are very beneficial for health. This makes the body strong, the mind remains calm and stress also reduces. Yoga increases flexibility, pranayama improves the control of breath and meditation increases concentration. Together, they increase the immunity of the body.
Using spices like turmeric, cumin, coriander and garlic in food is very beneficial for health. These spices not only enhance the taste of food, but also increase the strength of the body to fight against diseases. Turmeric has antiseptic properties and garlic helps strengthen immunity.
In Ayurvedic measures, the Ministry of AYUSH advises to take one teaspoon of Chyawanprash every morning, but if you are a patient of diabetes, then do not forget to choose a sugar-free option. Make a herbal decoction with basil, cinnamon, black pepper, dry ginger and dry grapes once a day, and if you want, you can also add a little jaggery or lemon juice to it. Drinking warm milk with turmeric before sleeping at night is very beneficial for health. It relaxes the body, improves sleep and increases internal strength.
There are some more easy desi remedies, such as every morning and evening, a few drops of sesame or coconut oil or ghee should be put in both nose pores. This causes nasal cleaning and prevents problems like cold and cough. Apart from this, fill one teaspoon of coconut or sesame oil in the mouth and rotate it for two to three minutes and then spit and rinse with warm water. This process is called ‘oil pulling’. This keeps the mouth clean, the teeth are strong and the body’s immunity also increases. Doing this daily is very beneficial for health. If there is a sore throat, heat mint or celery water and steam it. By adopting these Ayurvedic measures regularly, the body’s immunity can be increased naturally.
