Mumbai, October 19 (IANS). The citizens of the country are directly benefiting from Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra Yojana, one of the important schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. People are able to get cheap medicines through Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra. Customers have expressed gratitude to PM Modi for this scheme.
Vijay, owner of Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra located in Borivali area of Mumbai, said that this is the first shop of Mumbai which was started in the year 2016. This center is eight years old and people come here from far-flung areas to buy medicines.
He told that there are 30 thousand registered patients who take medicines from his shop. The medicine which is available in the market for Rs 100, costs Rs 10 to Rs 20 at Jan Aushadhi Kendra. Its quality is good and people get financial benefits by getting cheap medicines.
Vijay said, “In the last eight years, we have opened four Jan Aushadhi Kendras in Mumbai, where cheap medicines are available. These include areas like Borivali, Malad, Wadala, Thane. Most of the people call Jan Aushadhi Kendra as Modi Medical Store. Know.”
At the same time, customer Ashish Yadav told that he has been taking medicines from Jan Aushadhi Center for the last three years. Earlier, he used to buy branded medicines from other private stores, which cost around three to four thousand rupees. But, the same medicines are available from Jan Aushadhi Center for around Rs 1,500. Medicines are available at cheap rates here, which also becomes very important economically.
Customer Pooja Yadav told that the price of the medicine which is between Rs 80 to Rs 100 at other medical stores, is available at Jan Aushadhi Center for Rs 8-10. There are many benefits of getting cheap medicines and it has no side effects.
Customer Kesar Bai told that medicines are available cheaper from Jan Aushadhi Kendra, hence she buys medicines from here every month. Medicines are expensive at private medical stores and due to not being financially strong, they are not able to buy medicines from there.
