New Delhi, October 28 (IANS) With timely detection and personalized treatment, Artificial Intelligence (AI) can play an important role in the treatment of heart diseases in India, experts claim.

Balbir Singh, chairman of the department of cardiology at Max Healthcare, told IANS that AI can predict any cardiac problem and thus can be of great help to patients. It can also easily detect changes in voice and eyes, which no other method or device can do.
Speaking at the two-day Cardiology SUMMA 2024 event held in New Delhi, Singh said, “AI has the potential to revolutionize cardiology by detecting heart disease earlier, personalizing treatment plans and improving patient outcomes. “With the ability to perform quick and accurate analysis, AI can help physicians make more informed decisions, leading to more effective and timely treatment.”
Furthermore, cardiology experts noted that AI can significantly benefit the healthcare sector in India as the country has a large rural population.
