New Delhi, 21 April (IANS). “Taru Ashok Mam Karhun Ashoka …” Mother Sita says “Ashok tree has removed my affliction, so I respect it.” The Ashoka tree, which removes the anguish of Mother Sita, has a solution to every problem of women. Many diseases are treated with Ashoka’s leaves, bark.
Ayurvedacharya says that this tree has a solution to every problem of women. The Ashoka tree is also given special importance in the scriptures. It is believed that the holy tree originated from Lord Shiva. The tree is worshiped on the Ashtami date of the Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. It is believed that worshiping on the day of Ashoka Ashtami not only attains happiness and peace, but also removes disease.
This was mythological significance, Ayurvedacharya with its medicinal properties and Dr. Pramod Anand Tiwari of ‘Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital of Babe’ in Punjab.
He said, “The Ashoka tree has Ayurvedic significance. It will not be much to be called a friend of women. Its use is also helpful in reducing gynecology and menstrual problems like heaviness, cramps, irregularity and pain.”
Ayurvedacharya said that to get relief from problems, you can take it twice a day with hot water or powder with powder. Ashoka’s bark cleanses the blood, which improves the skin of women. Applying Ashoka’s bark on the face gets rid of dead skin.
Research suggests that Ashoka’s bark reduces the severe pain and cramps, inflammation in the periods. It controls the increased vata. The consumption of Ashoka ends the problem of Vata. This also strengthens the digestive system, which relieves constipation, vata, cramps, pain.
Many types of nutritious elements are found in Ashoka tree, which are helpful in protecting us from various diseases. It contains abundant glycosides, tannins, flavonoids elements, which serve as a tonic for the body. The roots and bark of Ashoka tree are helpful in removing pimples and skin related problems.
Ayurvedacharya recommends people suffering from the problem of high blood pressure to be cautious in its use and not using a doctor without consulting.
