Type 1 diabetes is a chronic disease. In this, the cells that make insulin in the pancreas are destroyed. Due to which the body is unable to make insulin. Insulin is a hormone that helps in using glucose to give energy to your body’s cells. The body gets glucose from the food you eat. Insulin work is that it takes glucose from blood to your body’s cells. When cells contain sufficient amount of glucose, your liver and muscle tissue stores additional glucose in the form of glycogen. Which the body uses for energy.
In type 1 diabetes, your body is unable to store glucose due to lack of insulin. By eating, glucose is not able to enter your cells, which increases the amount of glucose in the blood. Excess glocuves in the blood increases the risk of many diseases.
