How to identify adulterated sweet
Preparations for the festival of Diwali are going on across the country. Teej and festivals bring with them many happiness. People enjoy food and sweets during festivals. Many types of sweet dishes are made at home from milk, mawa and cheese. But if we tell you that these tasty things are like poison for you, would you agree? In fact, due to increase in demand for sweets and dry fruits during festivals, many things start getting adulterated indiscriminately. At present, a large quantity of fake khoya, cheese, turmeric, oil, milk and spices are being sold in the market which are extremely harmful for health. In such a situation, it is important that you be careful about adulterated things. Let us tell you how to identify fake things at home?
Identify fake things like this:
Identification of fake milk: Pour milk into a vessel. If the milk is pure, it stops or flows slowly and leaves a white trail behind. Whereas milk mixed with water will flow away immediately without leaving any trace. Mix equal amount of water in 5 to 10 ml milk sample and shake it well. If detergent is mixed in milk, it forms thick foam. At the same time, due to stirring, pure milk will form a very thin foam layer.
Identification of fake mustard oil: To identify fake mustard oil, add some lemon or nail paint remover to mustard oil and then shake the oil. If mustard oil leaves its color or solidifies like ghee, then understand that it is adulterated.
Identification of fake cheese: To identify fake khoya and cheese, rub them in the palm. If there is no oily or sticky feeling in the hands after rubbing, then understand that it is fake khoya and paneer and both of them have been adulterated.
Identification of fake ghee: To identify whether ghee is real or fake, mix hydrochloric or iodine in one spoon of ghee. If the color of ghee is changing then it means that this ghee is fake.
Identification of fake turmeric: To identify turmeric, mix five drops of water and five drops of hydrochloric acid in it. If turmeric is fake then pink or purple color will start coming out from it.
Sugar: To identify whether sugar is real or fake, add 2 teaspoons of sugar in a cup of water and heat it. If it is adulterated, chalk powder will be visible at the bottom due to heating of water.
