Rajouri, 4 February (IANS). Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, also known as Ayushman Golden Card Scheme, has done a big relief for the people of Rajouri. This scheme is getting a lot of help to cancer patients, especially here. Under the scheme, patients and their attendants thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing free treatment in the government and private hospitals.
Many patients admitted to GMC Rajouri shared that poor families had to sell their land and property for treatment before the scheme started. However, under this scheme of the government, they received 100 percent free treatment, due to which these families did not face financial crisis.
Under this scheme, poor patients are getting treatment facilities not only in government hospitals, but also private hospitals, due to which life -giving treatment has become accessible for them. Many patients and their families said that earlier due to expensive treatment, they had to sit home and fight for their lives. But, now the Ayushman Bharat scheme has given him not only treatment, but also a new hope.
The benefit of this scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is now getting thousands of people from Rajouri and other districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The scheme has ensured that no poor citizen should not face the economic crisis for treatment. Not only Rajouri, the Ayushman Bharat Yojana has made health services accessible for the poor in the entire Jammu and Kashmir. This initiative of PM Modi has proved that a strong government gives priority to the health safety of its citizens, and the scheme has done a boon for the poor.
Zahid Ahmed, an attendant of the cancer patient, told IANS, “I have been treating my mother for the last one and a half years, my mother has cancer. We are getting very good facilities here. And the principal, supervisor and staff are also cooperating with us very well. We have to do millions of rupees. Should also run, because this card is proving to be very helpful for the poor.
Another attendant Shabbir Ahmed told IANS that my mother has a cancer problem. We are undergoing treatment here under the Golden Card. We thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this scheme. This scheme is proving to be very helpful for the poor. If we had done this treatment somewhere, it would have cost millions of rupees, which was not possible for the poor. Due to this card, treatment is getting free. Due to Prime Minister Modi, the poor are being taken care of a lot.
Cancer expert Dr. Abdul Hakim told IANS that whatever cancer patients come here, their treatment is made free under the Golden Card i.e. Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Our services include chemotherapy such as OPD, decare center and cancer related main treatment and all this is completely free. Chemotherapy medicines can range from Rs 5,000 to Rs 30,000, but all these medicines are provided for free.
He said that patients come to our hospitals from Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi districts and they also get free treatment under Golden Card. We are providing OPD and decar service daily. This treatment has to be done again and again, as the treatment of cancer requires regular chemotherapy. Sometimes there are some medicines that do not come in the package of the golden card, then the patients buy some medicines on their behalf, but 90% of the medicines are available free of cost under the Golden Card. Poor patients are benefiting greatly from this scheme.
