How to soothe heartburn

Eating too much during festivals and eating too much fried food can cause problems related to stomach and digestion. Some people sit for a long time after eating, due to which the digestion process slows down and the food is not digested properly. In such a situation, problems of gas, acidity, bloating and heart burn bother you. Sometimes heart burn and heart attack feel similar. If you also feel heartburn again and again, then you can get relief by doing some home remedies.

What is heart burn?

Heartburn means feeling a strong burning sensation in the chest. This happens when the amount of acid in the stomach increases and the acid refluxes into the food pipe. Due to which the problem of heart burn occurs. This causes burning sensation in the chest and upper part of the stomach. Sometimes heaviness is also felt in the chest. Sometimes you find it difficult to do your routine work.

What to do in case of heartburn?

Cold Milk- If you have a problem of heartburn or too much acid is being produced, you can drink cold milk. With this the problem of heartburn can be reduced. You can add honey to milk for sweetness. Keep in mind that do not drink more than 1 cup of milk at a time. Drinking milk after diluting it with light water will be beneficial. This will provide immediate relief.

Fennel- Fennel has a cooling effect and has natural mouth freshener properties. If you are facing the problem of heartburn then definitely eat fennel after meals. With this, the burning sensation in the chest can be reduced. You can drink fennel water or fennel tea or mix fennel in cold milk.

Ginger- Consume ginger in case of heart burn. Anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and anti-oxidant properties are found in ginger which reduce heartburn. In case of heartburn, put a little ginger in your mouth and chew it. You can also consume ginger by boiling it in water. By eating ginger there will be no problem of gas, acidity and flatulence.

Banana- If you don’t understand anything then eat banana. This will give you relief from the problem of heartburn. Eat banana in case of heartburn, stomach irritation, flatulence or gas problem. Eating banana will provide immediate relief. Natural antacid is found in banana which reduces heartburn.
