New Delhi, 8 June (IANS). Ayurveda teaches us simple and natural ways to stay healthy. It is not just a cure, but also guides the lifestyle. With this we not only keep healthy, but also feel full of energy. The present time in Ayurveda is considered as ‘exchange period’. It runs from mid -May to mid -July. This is the time when the Sun moves north and exploits energy from our body. During this time our body’s immune system starts to weaken.
In ‘exchange period’, ‘bitter rasa’ in our body increases the taste. According to Ayurveda, due to the increase in this sharp taste, Vata dosha in the body starts increasing. These vata doshas start accumulating in the body, which can cause many problems in the body during the rainy season. Please tell that the rainy season lasts from mid -July to mid -September.
According to Ayurveda, the nature of the sun and air prevails in this period, which absorbs soft qualities from the body and from the earth. It is interpreted in Charaka Samhita. In this period, the body has various effects, such as heat, sweat and other disorders. The diet should be lighter to deal with these conditions.
Ayurvedacharyas say that taking special care of food in this season provides benefits. Especially those who suffer from neuromuscular disorders such as muscles and nerves related diseases or autoimmune diseases should take special care at this time. In these diseases, the body’s immune system attacks its own cells, which can worsen the health.
It is also very important to follow the seasonal principles in this period. Ritucharya, that is, changes in food, living and routine according to the weather helps to maintain health. For example, light, cold and digestible food should be taken in summer season. A more spicy, sour or fried food should be avoided as it can increase the vata further.
Also, regular exercise, yoga and meditation can keep both body and mind balanced. It is also necessary to avoid stress and get good sleep, as it makes the immune system strong.
