Health News Desk: There is a lot of festive season in the country at this time, Karva Chauth fast will be observed in the coming week. This fast is observed by married women in Hindu religion. In this fast, wives seek the blessings of their husbands for their long life and to increase love in the relationship. As everyone knows, Karva Chauth is a waterless fast. In this, even water is not drunk before the moon rises, hence staying without eating or drinking for a long time is not good for health. But in Hindu scriptures, eating and drinking is not allowed during fasting, especially during the fast of Karva Chauth, more emphasis is given to this belief. Healthy tips for Karva Chauth
1. Drinking the right amount of water

Some women, thinking of fasting the next day, start drinking large amounts of water the day before, which is not right. By doing this, you may get dehydrated due to frequent urination the next day i.e. on Karva Chauth. Therefore, a day before the fast, you should eat light food and water-based fruits. You can eat Jalebi a day before, it is said that eating it reduces thirst.

2. Eat healthy things in Sargi

Sargi thali mostly consists of sweets, mathri and fried items. But these things can cause stomach upset, eating them can make you feel more thirsty the next day. Avoid including things like parathas, tea and chips in sargi. You can drink healthy foods like dry fruits, fruits and milk.

3. What to eat after breaking the fast?

On Karva Chauth, husband and wife often go out to eat after seeing the moon or order outside food to eat at home, but it is not right to do so. The temperature of the stomach changes due to fasting, hence if you eat spicy food from outside, digestion may get disturbed. This also affects metabolism. Try to cook some tasty and healthy food at home on that day and break the fast by eating it.

4. What to do if you are sick?

Even though this fast is important, you should never put anything else above your health. If you are ill or taking any kind of medicine, do not hesitate and take your medicine. If you cannot keep a fast then just do puja. Also, observe a fast after consulting your doctor.

5. Avoid being influenced by others

The relationship between husband and wife is very special. No amount of fasting or worship is the truth of what the relationship between two people will be like. Wives sometimes expect gifts or other things from their husbands because they are influenced by other married couples. Never think like this, your husband’s financial condition may not be good at that time. Therefore, never let such things come in the way of your fast.
