Big step against 'TB' in India, Shivings Foundation and IOCL are getting doctors

Noida, 28 March (IANS). Tuberculosis (TB) in India remains a serious health challenge even today. The most cases of TB are recorded in India in India, due to which the disease remains an important subject for national health. Shivings Foundation and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) organized a special program on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day to resolve this serious issue and take effective steps towards TB eradication. The main theme of this program was “One step towards TB -free world – be part of change”. During the program, experts discussed important topics related to diagnosis and treatment of TB. The panel included Dr. Praveen Kumar of Max Super Specialty Hospital, Dr. Rajesh Mishra, Critical Care Director of Moolchand Hospital, healthcare strategist Anshuman and public health expert Meenakshi Saxena.

The discussion spoke in detail on important issues such as the role of artificial intelligence (AI), reducing the gap of health services in urban and rural areas and the increasing challenge of drug -resistant TB. Experts emphasized that not only government efforts are sufficient for TB eradication, but it requires collective cooperation of different fields. A study of successful TB eradication schemes was also presented on the occasion.

Hemant Rathore, Executive Director, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), who was present at the program, said, “We support this campaign to make India TB free by 2025.” At the same time, Madan Mohit Bhardwaj, founder of Shivings Foundation, said that “We are further enhancing efforts for TB check and prevention at the ground level, which causes this movement to reach door to door”.

During the program, doctors expressed concern over the increasing cases of TB and advised people to be vigilant about its symptoms. Dr. Rajesh Mishra, Critical Care Director of Moolchand Hospital, said, “If a person persists for a long time fever, cough and weakness, he should consult a doctor immediately.”

Gynecologist Dr. Manisha Saxena emphasized the need to stop the spread of TB in pregnant women and newborns. More than 20 doctors participated in this important event and shared the experiences of their patients. Experts said that every 3 minutes 2 people are dying due to TB, which shows the seriousness of the disease.

The program was attended by MD Upasana Arora of Yashoda Hospital, CEO Commander of Medicare, Navneet Bali, Dr. Prerna Sharma from America, IOCL General Manager Alok Srivastava and Noida’s DFO P.K. Srivastava also expressed his views.

This program received a clear message that TB eradication is not only the responsibility of the government, but it is necessary to participate in every citizen, industry, and health experts. This effort can be successful only when awareness is increased, investigation and treatment facilities are delivered to every person and all work together to solve this global problem.
