Bihar: beneficiaries of ‘PM Jan Arogya Yojana’ in Motihari appreciated the government

Motihari, 1 June (IANS). Many public welfare schemes are being run by the central government keeping in mind the general public. The Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) is one of which, whose beneficiaries are provided financial assistance for treatment. Residents of Motihari in Bihar are also benefiting from PM-JAY.

Various patients undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Motihari praised the government. His operation has been done under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Some of these patients have had a hornia and some appendix -like disease. The patients and their families, while speaking to the news agency IANS, praised the government for the scheme.

The beneficiary Virendra Shah said, “This scheme is very beneficial, because now the disease has become very easy to get treatment. Patients are not worried about spending.”

Prem Kumar said, “If this scheme had not been brought by the government, then the poor like us would have to pledge jewelry or raise money by selling land, but now the government is being treated without giving one rupee without any rupee.”

Sangeeta Kumari, a female beneficiary, said, “We had made Ayushman card long ago, when it was found that this hospital in Motihari is being treated under this scheme, then we came here. Thank you for this wholeheartedly.”

Dr. Ajay Verma, a doctor of the city, who treated the patients, praised the PM-JAY. He said, “Earlier, if the farmer or poor people had to get a major disease and had to get treatment, then they had to come for treatment by selling the fields or mortgaging the jewelry. But, the PM-JAY is working to give new life to the people.
