New Delhi, July 10 (IANS) Yoga not only improves physical health, but also promotes mental peace and activism. One of these yogasanas is Chakrasana, also known as ‘Wheel Pose’ or ‘Urdh Dhanurasana’. This asana is done by beating the body in the shape of the wheel, which is very beneficial for the entire body including spine, waist, eyes.
According to the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, Chakrasana removes back problems, increases eye light, relieves constipation, and reduces stress. Gives many benefits to the body.
‘Chakra’ means wheel and ‘Asana’ means posture. In this posture, the body is shaped by beating backwards. It strengthens the muscles of the back, arms, feet and abdomen, as well as improves the flexibility and posture of the body. Yoga experts say that this asana provides many health benefits by regular practice.
Chakrasana makes the spine flexible and relieves back pain. It helps to increase the light by strengthening the eye muscles. Removes constipation and digestive problems. It is also helpful in giving peace by reducing mental stress and anxiety. It increases the activation of the body by strengthening the muscles.
Experts explain what is the correct method of chakrasana. For its practice, first of all lie down on the ground. Fold your feet with knees and bring the legs near the hips.
Take both hands near the head, the palms are on the ground and the fingers are towards the shoulders. After this, while breathing, lift the body up by emphasizing the palms and legs. Hang the head comfortably backwards. One should remain in this posture for 10 to 20 seconds and also keep breathing normally. After this, the situation should be returned slowly.
Regular chakrasana provides not only physical, but also mental health. Experts also suggest that Chakrasana gives many benefits, but many precautions should be taken before its practice. Chakrasana should be done on an empty stomach. People suffering from pregnant women, high blood pressure, heart disease or chronic pen are advised not to do it.
