Cheap medicines of Jan Aushadhi Kendra in Bagaha, Bihar

Bagaha (Bihar), 15 May (IANS). The Prime Minister’s Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Project (PMBJP) is proving to be a boon for the people in Bagaha, a small town in Bihar. A large number of locals are appreciating the scheme. Local people are calling this scheme of the government a milestone in the field of healthcare.

The purpose of the Jan Aushadhi Kendra is to provide quality generic medicines at cheap prices, which has brought very important relief for people of economically weaker sections. The beneficiaries say that the availability of low cost, but effective drugs has greatly improved their access to healthcare.

The news agency IANS shared his experience while talking to some beneficiaries and explained how the scheme has changed their lives.

Talking to IANS, regular customer of Jan Aushadhi Kendra, Abhishek Kumar said, “Good quality medicines are available here at a very low price. It is not less than a boon for the poor. Almost every important medicine is available in the center. Most poor people come here, but I believe that everyone should take advantage of this service. I give thanks to the Modi government and believe that every street, village and town should be opened so that any person should be opened in every street, village and town. No. “

Beneficiary Subhranantudhar Mishra said that this center located in the subdivision hospital of Bagaha has been particularly helpful. Expressing gratitude to the central government, he said, “The medicines here are effective. The only challenge is sometimes a delay in supply. If medicines come on time, this scheme will make a complete change for the common man. Many medicines are available at about 20 percent less than the market price. It is a really boon for economically weak people.”

Local resident Shailesh Tiwari said, “This scheme has been very helpful. I buy blood pressure and acidity medicines from here at a much lower price than branded medicines. People who know about Jan Aushadhi Kendra take full advantage of it. It is a great initiative for the poor and more awareness about it is a need for more awareness. It is actually one of the most impressive schemes of the Modi government.”

Center director Arun Kumar Dwivedi highlighted the importance and popularity of the initiative. He said that medicines of 125 rupees are available here in the market for only 12 rupees. About 250 to 300 people are benefited daily from the center. The plan is working well, but Bihar still lacks adequate distribution agencies. We have to face delays because it takes four to five days to reach from Delhi and it takes four to five days to reach. With more centers opening and better supply chains, this plan will become even more beneficial.

It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Project was started in November 2008 by the Department of Pharmaceuticals under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. Its purpose is to provide quality generic medicines to all through the dedicated outlet known as Jan Aushadhi Kendras.
