Aurangabad, September 28 (IANS). The cleanliness campaign started by the Modi government at the Center in 2014 has now started showing positive results. Its positive pictures are emerging from all over the country. The latest case is from Aurangabad, Bihar, the doctors of Sadar Hospital here have expressed their happiness about the changes brought about by this change. They said that because of this there has been a significant improvement in the level of cleanliness here.
A female doctor of Sadar Hospital said that in 2014 the level of cleanliness was only 40 percent, but now it has reached 90-95 percent. We are very happy with these changes and we are trying to make it even better. I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi wholeheartedly.
Another female doctor said about this initiative of Prime Minister Modi that ten years ago the condition of the hospital was very bad. There used to be filth all around, but now the cleanliness situation has become very good. In our hospital now mopping is done several times a day.
At the same time, a male doctor said that when I started serving in Sadar Hospital in 2010, the situation was very bad. There was waterlogging and accumulation of filth behind the hospital, which increased the risk of infection. We sought help from the city council and other officials several times, but there was no improvement. Under the recent Mission 60 for cleanliness, we got a chance to participate in cleaning and rejuvenation programs.
He said that campaigns like Swachhta Pakhwada have played an important role in spreading awareness among the local people. Doctors said that now people understand where to throw garbage and they also understand the importance of cleanliness. Earlier people used to spit everywhere, but now the situation has changed. Emphasis has also been laid on measures like hand washing in Sadar Hospital, so that the risk of infection can be reduced. We teach people the correct way to wash hands and how to keep themselves safe.
He further said that this change as part of the cleanliness drive has not only improved the condition of the hospital but has also increased awareness among the local people. Doctors believe that such programs should be taken forward. The impact of PM Modi’s plans is clearly visible today. We thank them and hope that such schemes will increase further.
