New Delhi, 17 June (IANS). Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the Ayushman Arogya Temple on Tuesday in Tis Hazari Court premises. On this occasion, he said that it is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s concept.
CM said, “33 Ayushman Arogya Temple and 17 Jan Aushadhi Kendras are being inaugurated in Delhi today.
CM Gupta made a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party’s Mohalla Clinic Scheme. He said, “The Mohalla clinic was a complete scam. There was neither care nor drugs. Its sole purpose was to earn money. In these clinics made of drains and garbage heaps, the doctor was paid to the doctor at the rate of 40 rupees per patient. In such a situation the quality of treatment can be imagined.”
He appealed to the Bar Association not to ban posters outside the court premises and the walls should not be spoiled. He said, “We all have the responsibility to make Delhi beautiful.”
In this sequence, Delhi’s PWD Minister Pravesh Verma inaugurated the Ayushman Arogya Temple at Babur Road Dispensary. He said, “This initiative is the result of thinking of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Free treatment, medicines, physiotherapy and wellness center facilities will be available in these centers. This will not require people to go to big hospitals for minor diseases.”
At the same time, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari inaugurated the Ayushman Arogya Temple in the B block of Yamuna Vihar. He criticized the Mohalla clinic and said that Mohalla clinics were so small that people fell as soon as they entered. There was no test facility. But there will be tests in Ayushman Arogya Temple and people will also be able to do yoga.
In Khajuri Khas, Minister Kapil Mishra also inaugurated an Ayushman Arogya Temple. During this, the District Magistrate, Senior Officer and Health Department team were present.
Under the Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, 1139 Ayushman Arogya temples have been set up in Delhi at a cost of Rs 2406 crore. 33 dispensaries of Delhi Government, Municipal Corporation and New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) have been developed as these centers. It was to be started on 14 June, but was postponed due to the Ahmedabad plane crash.
Today, all the cabinet ministers of Delhi will inaugurate these centers in their respective constituencies, taking a big step towards making health services more accessible in the national capital.
