Bhopal, December 7 (IANS). The Corona warriors who served during the Corona epidemic in Madhya Pradesh want their services reinstated and to fulfill this demand, they are going to take to the streets of the capital on 16th and 17th December.
Covid-19 Dr. Ankit Asati, State Convenor of AYUSH Doctors Association, Madhya Pradesh, said that the health system in Madhya Pradesh was not good during the Covid-19 pandemic. To improve the situation during that period, the National Health Mission temporarily appointed AYUSH doctors, dentists, lab technicians, pharmacists, staff nurses, scientists and all other paramedical medical teams in the entire Madhya Pradesh. These appointments were made in the entire state through the District Health Committee on the basis of merit marks.
It is noteworthy that before the assembly elections, the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced in Balaghat district that the BJP government of the state stands with all the employees serving during the Covid period and no bad thing will happen to the employees of the state. But, the employees serving during the Corona period are currently going through bad times. Recently, when Corona warriors had surrounded the residence of Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Rajendra Shukla in Rewa, he had assured of proper justice, but nothing has happened till now.
According to the Corona warriors, in BJP ruled Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, the fired Corona warriors have been rehired and merged into their contracts, but this is not happening in Madhya Pradesh. Corona warriors have been unemployed for the last two years. Their number is more than four thousand. Corona warriors have announced to siege the Chief Minister’s residence on 16 December and the Madhya Pradesh Assembly on 17 December to get their demands met.
Corona warriors say that during the pandemic they worked without caring for their lives. They not only cared for patients but also risked themselves for the safety of their families and society.
